The years have gone by fast since my arrival at the music school.
皆さんの音楽教室に赴任してから
あっという間に数年が経ちました
I'm happy that we are still in touch after I stopped teaching the Friday piano lessons.
金曜日ピアノの担当を離れても
皆さんとこうしてご縁が続いていることを
とても嬉しく思っております
You have supported my career as a piano teacher over the past ten years. Thank you.
私自身のピアノ講師のキャリアは
おかげさまで10年以上が経ちました
Over ten years, I have seen students of many different ages.
様々なご年齢の生徒さん方と
レッスンをする中で気付いた事があります
If you wish to play the piano well, there are some things more important than simply practicing the piano.
ピアノを弾けるようになるには
鍵盤の上で指を動かすよりも大切な事がある
First of all , why do people create music?
そもそも人はなぜ
音楽を創り出すのでしょう？
Because we have many things that cannot be expressed in words.
それは言葉で伝えられない事が
山ほどあるからです
Let's take a walk through nature like Beethoven.
ベートーヴェンがしていた様に
自然の中へ散歩に出かけましょう
Let's touch the leaves and soil.
Feel the wind stroke your cheek and taste it.
草や土に触れてみましょう
頬をなでる風の感触や
匂いを味わいましょう
Many senses cannot be put into words.
言葉に出来ない
たくさんの感覚に触れてください
And sometimes, you knead cookie dough and enjoy the different feelings in your fingertips.
そして時にはこうして
お菓子の材料をこねこねして
指先の色んな感覚を楽しみましょう
When you sit in front of the piano, it isn't only about practicing the piano.
ピアノの前に座っている時だけが
ピアノの練習ではありません
Always keep gentleness in your heart and body.
いつでも心と体を
柔らかくしておきましょう
Apologize when you have a quarrel with your friend if you are at fault.
お友だちとケンカした時に
自分が悪かったと思ったら謝り
Say thank you right away if someone makes you happy.
嬉しい気持ちにしてくれる人に
いつでもすぐに感謝を伝えましょう
And stretch after class when you have been sitting for a long time
学校で座る時間が長いのなら
休み時間には立ち上がって
身体を伸ばして
ストレッチをしてください
If your heart and body are gentle, there will be no problems and everything will be good even if you do not receive a good score or push the wrong key on the keyboard.
心と体が柔らかければ
ピアノの練習も
お勉強も
後からどうにでもなります
While you attended my piano lesson, I cast a secret spell.
私のレッスンに
通ってくださった皆さんに
レッスン中に
秘密の魔法をかけました
From now on, you may have happy days and sad days.
これから先楽しい日も
楽しくない日も
悲しい日も
あるかもしれません
But you will be fine every day.
でも
どんな日が来ても大丈夫
You have my secret spell in your heart.
皆さんの心の中には
秘密の魔法がかかっていますからね
Please believe in yourself and put your heart into your music and piano.
どうかこれからも
自分を信じて
音楽とピアノに
心から向き合ってください
