MET and FRICK

先月の話だけど、

one of the MAIN reasons for my visit to NYC last month =

ANDY WARHOL exhibition　

along with 60 artists justaposed (おもしろい！）

マイパパに　これを見るため　２泊だけでもＮＹＣに来る価値があるよ！

とプッシュされてたので、

行けて良かった！

DEC 31stまでだったのね、so glad i made it

（以前Alexander McQueenの時は

ユリ言うこと聞かなくてＮＹ行かなかったことやはり後から超後悔）

撮影ＮＧだったのでi dont have pics to post, but it was a very thorough fun exhibtion showcasing so many (roughly 50) of his most famous iconic works- alongside otherworks by artists who have in some way been influenced/inspired by warhol- thus exemplifying the great impact he has had on the contemporary art scene of future gwnerations thereon.

LOOOOVED IT

その後は、enjoyed some much needed "off time" at one of the BEST museums in the world

こちらが、my fatherが一番ほしがってた　ＲＯＤＩＮの作品

permanent collectionだから無理だと思うけど。。。

全て？を表してる。。？ とか。。？なんか、he was 語ってる。。

okay...　ん。

anyway-,笑、

the METなんだかんだとっても久しぶりでした。

やっぱりルーブル並みに　素晴らしい美術館と改めて実感！

soooo many collections...

丸々一日あっても　足りないね！

each period has an overal coherent theme/touch amongst the artists,

but なぜか、

こちらの絵はsooo OFFでかなり笑えたの

周りは全部beautiful realistic portraitsなのに、

this almost 2D and cartoonish touchが謎！！

ＭＡＴＩＳＳＥのexhinition (３月までです）も　とっても見ごたえがあって、

勉強になりました

although his oantings appear so carefree at very "unplanned"-

この展示会で見られる　デッサンやベースワーク、

the process, progress, composition, his effects and evaluation-

how HE was such a unique artistが　しっかる伝わってくるexhibitionでした

his IMPACTFUL use of paint and hues-

so thin and light yet POPPING with COLOR.

やっぱりREALLY AMAZING.!!

とにかく、

ＭＥＴは素晴らしい！！

帰りに、FRICK COLLECTIONへ

the opulent property, the decadent collection of old european masterpieces..

formerly a private residenceだったのがREMARKABLEよね！
