ＭＩＳＳ ＵＮＩＶＥＲＳＥ ＪＡＰＡＮの東京finalsへ行ってきました
@ ＨＡＰＰＯＥＮ
なんか、ぱっと見、
MODERNの マ逆の８０ｓぽい雰囲気のイベント
the corny neon lighting, the bubbly music, the fake smiles,
the judges, the girls, the nerves.. 
ただね、MISS UNIVERSE organizationの存在って
i believe over the past decade-
has REALLY motivated and inspired japanese women to be assertive, confident, healthy, and strive for global standards
しかも、びっくり！
がりがり"typical" scrawny japnese girlsは一人もいなくて、、
みんなどちらかというと、
ぶんぶん むちむちな感じで、
とっても健康的
contestantsは年齢もmostly ２０代で大人。
ティーンズは２，３人いたくらいかな？
なんと、
politicianの東国原さんがジャッジの一人で意外でした
only in japan...苦笑
ＭＵＪを思うと 離れた今でもnational directorだった
INESの名前がすぐcomes to mind
I believe INESはJAPANESE GIRLSに
ほんと素晴らしい刺激をオファーしたと思います

）モデルの世界やミスコンってit seems controversial/superficial but
I think it's GREAT if the contestants have a MOTIVE.、
and a true TALENT to share with the rest of us
and it IS a lucrative business at the end of the day
BEAUTYを利用して前へ進むのってthere is nothing wrong with that I think.
It IS an ADVANTAGE that only beautiful people have. it would be stupid not to utlize it
I do worry about the young "confused" girls that might get mesmerized/enveloped/lost in this world of fastpaced glitz n glam,
but I believe smart girls will use this oppurtunity to open doorsthat they may not otherwise have at such an early point in their lives.

納得です
I was actually rooting for this trilingual 18yr old who was VERY articulate, composed, and beautiful-
butなぜかＴＯＰ３入りもしていませんでした。

ＭＵＪ ２０１３の ＨＡＲＡさんは、
bodybuilderなみに体が鍛えられていて、
立派～～

芸能界や海外へほんとにアクセスがないＧＩＲＬＳにとっては、
this could really be a START to a whole new world,
for better or for worse,
it's up to them and their motives/morals
MISS UNIVERSE promotes and provokes girls to STRIVE for SOMETHING-
and i think that's better than NOTHING
hopefully they dont confuse happiness with vanity.
ま、at the end of the day- 人それぞれのチョイスだけど
