I dont think he is the original founder of this quote cuz I've heard it used in the past... but anyway,
Let me just elaborate on this statement that I heard Randy say in his Last Lecture.
The actions/or lackof that you/me/WE consider as mistakes, errors, regrets, failures... ALL happen for a reason:
for us to
LEARN from them and thus, to NOT repeat the same mistake twice... and EVEN if we do (oops!), then even more so- we'll know the third (or maybe even fourth) time around what (not) to do in order to AVOID that "fault".
Through EXPERIENCE of NOT getting what was expected/wanted, we make ourselves an informed, happier person in the longrun.
