毎年クリスマスには、

Gingerbread を焼くのが恒例です。

子供達にも大人気。

お気に入りのレシピをあげておきます。


Ingredients 

1cup butter, softened 

1.5 cup white sugar 

1egg

1.5 tablespoons orange zest 

2 tablespoons dark corn syrup 

3 cups all-purpose flour 

2 teaspoons baking soda 

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 

1 teaspoons ground ginger 

0.5 teaspoons ground cloves 

0.5 teaspoons salt 


Directions 

Cream butter and sugar together. 

Add the egg and mix well. 

Mix in the orange peel and dark syrup. 

Add the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, 

ground ginger, cloves and salt, 

mixing until well combined. 

Chill dough for at least 2 hours.


Preheat the oven to 190°C.

Grease cooking sheets.

On a lightly floured surface,

Roll dough out to 1/4 inch thick.

Cut into desired shapes 

using cookie cutters.

Place cookies 1 inch apart 

on the prepared cookie sheets.


Bake for 10 to 12 minutes 

in the preheated oven,

until the cookies are firm 

and lightly toasted on the edges.
