Oh, and it looks like the rainy season is finally kicking off. It's another workday for me, but I’m not sure what I’ll be tackling at my job today.
Speaking of yesterday, there was an exciting shogi match! The reigning champion, Fujii Eiou, went up against Ito Seven Steps. In the end, Ito won and took the Eiou title. This is Ito’s first time becoming a champion—congrats to the new Eiou champ! I’m a bit sad to see Fujii lose, but it feels like shogi is moving to the next generation.

さて、ひとり言を始めましょう。今日は6月21日の金曜日。雨がひどく降っていて、外は18度です。天気予報によると、最高気温は25度まで上がるけど、雨は止まらないみたいです。
それに、いよいよ梅雨入りみたいですね。今日は仕事の日だけど、何をしようかまだ決まっていません。
昨日の話だけど、将棋の対局があったんです。タイトルホルダーの藤井叡王と伊藤七段が対戦しました。結果は伊藤七段が勝って、新しい叡王になりました。初めてタイトルを取ったそうで、おめでとうございます、伊藤新叡王！藤井叡王が負けたのは残念だけど、これで将棋界も次の世代に移っていく感じがします。
