the words
For my printmaking class, I need to keep my record and research in my journal practitioners of different styles of print making.
so,
I decided to do that on the blog style.
Anyway, so far it is very difficult to understand the words/ terms for printing.
I am sure how it is called in Japanese but I will need the dictionary or back home and research.
For example, I was feeling,
'what is lino, lino-cut, Laino?' last week but as soon as I saw it, I understand it is same as MOKUHANGA but not cutting the wood.
It will be very interesting how I am going to do in this class without knowledge of the words...
My first LINO CUT Printing.
and I researched in my favourite Wikki!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linocut
I like how Swoon practises the method....
I really liked the Lino as it is like wood cut but much easier to cut because there is no fibre and remind me of the art class in primary school.
