ChillMountain-料亭deTodo bien-2019
兵庫県・豊岡市。
江戸末期 弘化四年に創業し、去年の夏に廃業した元老舗料亭
『とゞ兵』。
築90年程で鉄筋コンクリートと木造の融合した360坪の歴史的建造物。
その一部を使用し、デジタル音源レーベル『ChillMountain rec』からリリースしてるアーティストが集結、〝ChillMountain-料亭 de Todo bien-2019〟開催。
In Toyooka, Hyogo.
A 1000square meters high class Japanese restaurant “Todo-Hyo”, established in 1848, a historical and unique architecture built with concrete and wood.
Ironically it was abandoned for a year since last summer.
Digital sound label“Chill mountain rec” has been released and artists who belong to this label throw a party “ Chill mountain -Ryotei de Todo bien-2019” in this super rare location.

・What's とゞ兵 ???
明治の初年、山陰の沖合で捕獲された三メートルにも及ぶ 胡擯（とヾ）という怪魚。初代兵助がこれを買い求め店頭に置いたところ、その珍しさに日々多くの見物人が集まりした。
いつの頃から兵助は「とヾ兵」と呼ばれるようになりました。
現在は、カバンストリートという商店街の中に位置し、現在は一部をカフェ+ギャラリー+イベントスペース『 HIDE OUT gallery 』として
運営中。
In the early 19th century, a northern sea lion drifted ashore in northern Hyogo. The owner of a local high-end restaurant, Heisuke preserved and displayed the animal in front of his shop and it drew many customers from all over.
People started calling this owner after his mascot “Todo-Hyo," which means sea lion in Japanese. As their popularity grew, both Heisuke and the restaurant he owned gradually became known by the name of sea-lion.
The restaurant was the one of the best restaurants in its area for many years, but times inevitably change. We found this grand space, the former "Ryo-tei" style restaurant known as "sea-lion" abandoned after closure for more than a year.
We could not let such a beautiful, historic property lie in disuse...there are so many potential uses for this wonderful building and its fabulous classic architecture.
There is a wedding venue, an enormous authentic Japanese banquet room, guest quarters, multipurpose spaces and more... The new owners have just begun the huge project of reviving Todo-Hyo as a multi-use series of spaces. Their plan includes designs for a gallery, cafe, and guest houses and yes, even a restaurant in the future! We hope you're as exited as we are to see the revival of Todo-Hyo unfold.
