演奏が始まる前は、まさか！こんなにも凝った演出と演奏で楽しませて戴けるとは想像していませんでした。特に、マーチングのドリルでは、隊員の方々が曲に合わせて意外な動きを披露してくれただけでなく、半数近い隊員の方々がマーチング用に楽器を持ち替えたにも関わらず、素晴らしい演奏をされていた事なんて、映像で確認するまで気付きませんでした。

Before the performance began, I never imagined I'd be entertained by such an elaborate production. In particular, during the marching drill, not only did the members perform some unexpected moves to the music, but nearly half of the members switched instruments to match the marching numbers, and yet they still gave such a wonderful performance—something I didn't realize until I watched the video.
トロンボーンとサクソフォン、スーザフォン、そしてパーカッション以外の方は、マーチングでは別の楽器に持ち換えています。その中で、トランペットからコルネットへの持ち替えは難しくありませんが、クラリネットやフルート、ホルンの方がコルネットを吹かれていたのでしょうか？ 木管楽器から金管楽器に持ち替えは簡単ではありませんが、とても立派な演奏をされていました。
ただ、現在、全国的に警察の音楽隊では、新隊員の確保で苦労されている事と思います。と言うのは、高校などの吹奏学部の部員の男女比は、1980年代は 70％ は男性が占めていましたが、2010年台以降では、女性が 90％以上を占める様になったにも関わらず、採用される女性警官は全体の 15％程に留まっているので、楽器演奏の経験者が難しくなっており、その上、女性の平均勤続年数も男性よりも短いからです。そんな理由から、この映像当時とは異なるアプローチや工夫もされていると思いますが、どうぞ、これからも多くの人々を楽しませる演奏活動を続けられる事を応援しています。
Everyone except the trombone, saxophone, sousaphone, and percussionists switched instruments during the marching ensemble. Switching from trumpet to cornet isn't difficult, but were the clarinet, flute, or horn players playing the cornet? Switching from a woodwind instrument to a brass instrument isn't easy, but they gave such an impressive performance.
However, I imagine police bands across the country are currently struggling to find new members. In the 1980s, the ratio of male to female members of high school brass bands was 70% male, but since the 2010s, women have accounted for over 90%. However, only about 15% of police officers are recruited, making it difficult to find people with experience playing musical instruments. Furthermore, the average length of service for women is shorter than that of men. For these reasons, I believe there are different approaches and innovations being taken than at the time of this video, but I hope that they will continue to entertain many people with their musical activities.
