I went to "12th Annual Bright Nights In Stanley Park" with my friends yesterday.
The Vancouver Park Board and British Columbia Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund invite everyone to nights of magic and illumination for the twelfth annual Bright Nights in Stanley Park.
After lunch, we went to Stanley Park and took a 15-minute TRAIN RIDE through the forest ( Stanley park has a BIG forest! ). There were many Santa Clauses, gingerbread men, snowmen, animated animals with two million sparkling lights and christmas songs. We were having a wonderful time. It had been raining for about a week on end in Vancouver. According to my teacher, it's very common here. It was been a while since we enjoyed the sunshine. So yesterday was a perfect day to go to the park to see Christmas decorations and displays. I know that it's for KIDS. If I were Vancouverites, I wouldn't think about schlepping out to take the train ride for small kids. When I was in Tokyo, Japan, I was not interested in outdoor events in the winter so much, because I don't like cold weather. However, this year is a special year for me! I want to go everywhere I can. I want to do everything I can. The lights reflected on the water were so beautiful, but the train was too fast to take a good photo...

We sang together and laughed a lot while we ride the train. I sang 『赤鼻のトナカイ/Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer』 in Japanese, some friends sang in Korean and the othres sang in English, all together. Thanks for a great time. I love my friends so much.
During school hours, we are sometimes acting kind of childish. But at that time, nobody cares about who is old enough...we just enjoy to spend time together. FUN FUN FUN.
