Nike is celebrating it’s 100 year anniversary this year and they are not stopping with the releases. Here is a look at the Nike Weapon Youth Shin Hi that is now available in two colors, Black/Pink/Aqua and White/Blue/Neon/Orange. The shoe comes equipped with a velcro strap, which is an added twist to the original Nike Weapon. Now available at Mita.

If you haven’t realized by now, 2008, marks the 100th Anniversary for Nike and to celebrate the 100 years that the company has been in existence, they have been putting out special products to commemorate the century mark. Here is a look at the various models that will be releasing this month and next month. The genius Dr. Romanelli, well known for his Nike track jacket mesh-ups, applies his magic touch to the classic Air Max All Star. He would be #12 in Nike’s 1HUND(RED) artists project. The lasered band-aid image in his collaboration both to represent himself and the the Project (RED) fund makes perfect sense. A large number of collabs are schedule between now and March in Nike’s year-long celebration of their 100th anniversary. Nike continues to celebrate their 100th anniversary by releasing some new renditions of some of their classic sneakers. The Air Max High, Low, and Jack Purcell have all been re-created in classic colorways using premium leather uppers in place of their traditional canvas. Cons brought together their 100th anniversary celebration and the [RED] initiative to fight AIDS for this collection. They got 100 notable presences from art, fashion and music to customize the iconic Air Max Hi model (and a few others here and there) and they’re on display, so check em out while you’re buying your copy of Art & Sole.

If it’s for a good cause, people will lend a hand, but for the (RED) campaign, celebrities and designers have come out of the woodworks. For footwear, many notables have collaborated with (RED) to produce special editions of classic shoes and buyers have been especially willing to shell out the dough because the proceeds were being used for a greater deed. Here’s a look at New York artist Giovanni Estevez’s Converse Chuck Taylor designed for the (RED) collection; it cheap nike free 3.0 v3 features a tonal black upper with the powerful red on the uppermost eyelet and All-Star tab on the heel, and features Estevez’s interpretation of the NYC skyline stitched on the upper. The Converse Pro Star’s classic design gets a touch of fluff with the new Converse Pro Star Baby Bear, which cheap shoes on sale features a cuddly inner lining of fleece and a tan/brown colorway representing the classic teddy bear. While these may not be as in-your-face as the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals Teddy Bear – the darn thing has a teddy bear’s head as the tongue – the Pro Star has the right mix of colors and materials to be part of that group. Yellow branding on the midsole and heel tab along with pink bottom sole finish the color-blocking with a fleece flex cutaway at the achilles. Takahiro Miyashita’s Number (N)ine label came to close some time ago but his expertise in creating mystifying pieces of work from the most plain canvasses can be seen in his recent collaborations with Converse. Last March Miyashita created the Asymmetrical All-Star Low and One Star, featuring a Footscape-like lacing structure that fell to the lateral edges of the shoe, and that same design notion is seen in his most recent Number (N)ine x Converse project, inspired by the Odessa, the classic Converse runner from the 1980′s. The uppers of both Fall 2010 colorways are constructed in deer-skin, with leather inner linings. Converse Skateboarding has started to roll out their Fall 2010 footwear collection. Five new designs spread across three distinct models each feature simple color-and-white palettes to match the dominant trends in streetwear. First up is the CONS Anthony Pappalardo Pro Model similar to one we showed you last week, sporting a tonal black upper atop a white sole. The somewhat similar CTS Ox comes in a beautiful kelly green canvas, while the Tremont lowtop matches nike free 3.0 womens Pappalardo’s colorway. Last but not least is the latest addition to the CONS lineup, the Star Player Low and Mid, available in navy blue and charcoal grey suede, respectively. The SSUR x Converse Pro Leather 76 appears above with just a little crackled leather on the eyelets, instead mostly covered by some of the richest black nubuck we’ve seen in ages. With its side panels missing the typical star-chevron, these Pro Leather 76s reveal how much their design took after the 1974-born Nike Blazer. The World Basketball Festival is just weeks away, so to warm up for this one-of-a-kind event, the basketball triumvirate of Nike, Jordan Brand, and Converse opened up a pop-up shop in Harlem, NYC, called “The Ballroom”, showcasing the three brands’ products as well as offering some history lessons regarding the basketball timeline from each label. It started with a straight-up retro release in wild colors, but the Skidgrip has been a major part of Converse Japan’s offerings in recent months, and now as a member of Converse First String.
