Here’s the first collaboration for Nike’s Skidgrip midtop skate shoe. It also happens to be a charitable effort as Huf created the Nike Skidgrip 100 HFZ Mid to join the Product (RED) collection, so proceeds will benefit the fight against AIDS in Africa. These are sure to raise a good chunk of change, their tonal blace ‘H’ printed uppers have a nice depth that isn’t obviously a logo, especially from a distance. The square ‘Huf’ signature on each midsole’s outer heel is another story. Grab yours today from SnS.
Founding one of the world’s top streetwear labels can have its perks. Nigo gets exclusive whatever-he-wants and more of the baller treatment with an early look at this pair of Chucks. Part of a new deluxe series of Air Max All Stars dubbed Nike Addict, these have emerald green on the outside, purple on the inside and orange on the tongue right in the middle. These joints are constructed of premium materials and have Vibram outsoles. We expect them to release at Nike Japan retailers next month.
Singaporean locals SBTG and DJ Inquisitive have teamed up to pay tribute to the King of Pop by producing a “Thriller” themed Nike All-Star Hi custom. Inspired by one of Michael nike free 3.0 v2 Jackson’s biggest hits and most memorable music video, “Thriller,” the customs fit the motif of MJ’s attire in the video. Additionally, SBTG adds his latest design techniques of claw-rip detailing and a zippered tongue. Here’s what each of the collaborators had to personally say about the custom piece:
Dwayne Wade is all recovered and back to being one of the NBA’s leading scorers, and with that has come his 4th signature shoe from Nike, which we saw a while back. Even though he is back to playing, we have yet to see him wear his newest shoe and that may be the reason why Nike designed this Wade 4.3 sample. Just like the Wade 1.3, which came out in between the Wade 1 and Wade 2, the Wade 4.3 may be a clue to what nike free womens lies ahead for Wade’s signature line.
This sample comes in orange and white with a mostly orange upper featuring white stitching, white patent leather strips along the mid-panel and white leather around the holes on the ankles. The white leather upper with blue, pink and yellow complements looks pretty good in the daylight, but you should see it when the lights go out. These sneakers have been enhanced with glow in the dark materials, giving them an entirely different appearance depending on the time of day or the light in the room. If you play b-ball at night or just dig the novelty factor, these are available now at Undefeated Tokyo. There is no word yet on a U.S. release, but we’ll keep you posted.

Lupe was performing at the Dr. Romanelli’s 1Hund[RED] Artists shoe launch in LA about a month ago, there was also mention of his own Nike shoe under the Product [RED] line. Nike reports on them today, they are a full black patent leather All Star High with red accents and a white sole. No mention on availability yet. Via Complex

Nike is on top of this new trend and has put out a zipper Air Max in metallic gold. This sneaker seems to be currently only available in Hong Kong, and for anyone who’s visited Hong Kong will know the locals love Nike. Look for these at Nike retailers in Hong Kong a well as on RMK Store on eBay.

The sneakers feature an upper of denim with denim details, golden yellow stitching, brass lace loops and embroidered All Star circle logo patch. We are not sure if these are available out side of China but if you are on the Mainland, they retail for 295RMB or about $40US.

When he was eleven years old back in 1995, your author purchased his first pair of skateboarding shoes: the Nike One Star. While the Airwalks he saw on the same rack have dropped out of nike air presto the skate market and the One Star label has been reappropriated to promote Cons’ collection for Target stores, the One Star remains an icon of early skate culture.

While the shoe may look simple it’s actually complete with a number of premium details including a removable Nike logo on the upper via velcro patches, a “War is Big Business” tag on the inside of the shoe’s tongue, a manila card attached to the shoes, and the UNDFTD Strike logo on the midsole. This is one of the better collaborations we’ve seen this year and it’s great to see it all come together from one story/point of inspiration, the military jacket. Just a heads up that the colette x GAP pop-up shop will be getting a brand new shipment of limited edition Nike All Stars this Saturday, September 20th, at both colette x GAP (5th Ave & 54th Street) and colette in Paris. This limited edition Nike All Star has a run of 200 units only, so act fast. The colette x GAP store will be open from September 6 through October 5, 2008.

The upper features a more than colorful piece nike air presto of canvas that comes equipped with just as colorful shoe laces. While some may say the shoe resembles a PF Flyer or something out of Vans, Nike stays true to some of it’s more iconic pieces of footwear such as the Air Max. The colorway seen here is the United We Rise makeup that matches Team USA’s uniforms and includes some small detailing to give the shoes some added flavor.
