UNDEFEATED is quickly filling their ‘five strikes’ with Nike collaborations. This’ll be the fourth such tag team effort, each on the same model, the UNDFTD x Nike Poorman Weapon. Crafted in flight jacket-inspired nylon, these joints pick up where black, olive green and navy pairs left off, going the (cool) grey route for the perfect autumn/winter look. This leaves white as the most likely (and perhaps only remaining military uniform-based) colorway for a future drop, but we’re getting ahead of ourselves. A $600 Nike shoe? Might be a bit steeper than what you’d expect from Nike but these aren’t your ordinary Chucks. Created by Japanese designer Sak as apart of the Nike First String Collection, the Nike Star Tech is Sak’s personal rendition of the classic Nike All-Star, One Star, and Jack Purcell, constructed in the finest leather materials using Italian styling with each pair handmade by Sak himself. Sak states that “I’m trying to express myself creating a pair of shoes but hoping that the client wearing nike free run shoes them is finding his way of expressing himself too.” Sak’s personal connection with each pair of shoes he produces is more than evident in the calculating and exacting manner he approaches the shoes in which he is crafting, which reflects the Nike First String mission statement to a tee. Just 64 pairs of each colorway will release at four select locations – John Varvatos and Aloha Rag in NYC, Concepts in Boston, Blends in Costa Mesa – so take a look at the utmost in premium Nike shoes after the jump and let us know what you think of the design.
Lil Wayne was welcomed home by millions of fans via the worldwide web last week, and over the weekend he made his first public appearance when his hometown New Orleans Hornets hosted the Miami Heat, ironically enough, Wayne spent most of his time before being incarcerated in Miami. The rapper kept a low profile wearing a Cincinnati Reds fitted cap, white tee, and Nike Chuck Taylor All Star’s, while sitting next to Birdman. Weezy was also seen shaking hands with various players including the Hornets’ Nike Air Max LTD All-Star Forward, David West.
