Shawn Stussy just collaborated with Nike Sportswear on a dope quartet of Sky Force 88 Mids, so what’s next for his namesake brand? Looks like the next Double-S branded tag-team nike free v3 sneakers will come from across Nike, Inc. lines where the Stussy Deluxe x Nike CX-Pro Ox will release later this month in two simply satisfying colorways. This ’70s-born variation on the classic Chuck Taylor All Star design sees its star-and-chevron details done in tonal shades to compliment the canvas uppers, Stussy branding added in in a contrasting shade to the lateral heels. Thanks in no small part to Ronnie Fieg’s recent efforts, the Asics Gel Lyte III reigns supreme atop the split-tongue sneaker world. Fieg has on more than one occasion promoted his cheap free run 2 work with a beautiful model in a lovely location, but here’s a little glimpse of paradise and a new double tongued model with a different collaborative influence. With 166 pairs created for the store’s 20th anniversary, the Aloha Rag x Nike Jack Purcell Zip won’t be in position to become as prominent as the Japanese runner to which we compared it, but given Aloha Rag’s niche in the high-end streetwear retail space, this seems appropriate. Click through to see more of this tonal blue canvas and cracked leather uppers and look for these now direct from Aloha Rag, and at Nike First String retailers on July 15th.

We’ve seen a fair amount of animal print offerings this year, with Vans, adidas, and Nike all taking a walk on the wild side with safari looking sneakers. Well Nike has another pair to add to that list the glamb x Nike Jack Purcell Zipper Mid which comes in an all leopard print upper. The inspiration for these may not be immediately apparent, but Japanese brand glamb created them as a tribute to Kurt Cobain, and a quick Google image search should show you some photos of the grunge god rocking a jacket with a similar motif and most likely a pair of Nike. If that’s not enough for you there are tiny music notes dotted around the print to drive home the tribute and the side zipper definitely gives them a 90′s feel. Hit the jump for more photos of this wild Jack Purcell Zipper Mid, which should be hitting Japanese retailers in August. via shoesmaster.
