英語のYellowにはいろいろな意味があります。
愛・平和・知性といった良いイメージと、
キリストを裏切ったユダの着衣の色から、
臆病・卑怯といった悪いイメージです。
歌詞の和訳でイエローの部分は二つの意味が捉えられるところがあり
「I（私）」の部分は臆病で「YOU（貴方）」の部分は愛が入ると思われます。
