Miracles Now!

I got this card deck about two months ago.  Since then I'm hooked.

Gabrielle Bernstein aka Gabby is one of my favorite Hay House authors. I've read a few of her books such as Spirit Junkie, Add More 〜ING, May Cause Miracles and Universe Has Your Back.  I like her writing.  It's straight to the point and she uses easy and friendly language as if she's chatting with you in a hipster cafe.
However, it took me awhile to pick up this groovy affirmation deck.  I gotta say there was no resistance or anything, but it was because I was too busy reading and checking other authors' books and card decks as well as living my own life!  So it's about time, right?  After all, I like what she preaches, it resonates with me so why not practice saying affirmations everyday, or at least try to with the help from her deck?

So here we go.  This is what I pulled today.

Mmh.  Okay.  That's right.  It's telling me that I'm not asking for what I want, right? Kind of???   Because there are times when I'm not 100% clear about what I want but thinking I've already asked the universe for what I want, but then when somebody asks me what I want, I go silence... because, wait a minute...what do I really want in my life???
So I guess it's clearly telling me that if I want to get what I want, I gotta tell the universe or your significant people what I really truly want!  And that "if" has to be corrected to "when" if I don't want to make it an assumption.  I've once seen Alicia Keys talking about it on Oprah Winfrey Network that she replaced the word "if" to "when" for good.  And there's a point to it.  "When" will happen for sure but you just don't know exactly when whereas "if" can get lost in somewhere between now and future.  In other words since you haven't decided exactly when, there's a possibility that it might remain an assumption for who knows how long and will never come to fruition in your present life.

As you can see, pulling a card is a big deal for me because it gives me an opportunity to look back, look within and look ahead. This cute little card serves me like my fancy therapy session by a fancy degreed fancy therapist!  But it ain't cost as fancy!  My primary point for doing this is to become my own best friend.  Wait.  Maybe it's not to "become" my own BFF.  It's to realize that I'm my own BFF already.  Just like how a friend treat you right and kind, I wanna treat me right and kind.  So for this cute little card to show me what I'm not doing and reflect upon my own thinking and behavior is such a friendly kind gesture which serves me like no other!  It's a simple thing but really a deep thing. In the East, we say

Less is more.

Cheers to my happy journey whether it looks like it or not.  After all just like the card says,

The key to getting what I want is to ask for it

And this is my affirmation of the day.  Friendlily reminding myself to be clear about what I want and ask for it!

Life loves me.
And,
All is well.
