When driving a car on the road there will be regulations about speed limitations. On some streets the maximum speed is 30 km/h, other roads the maximum speed are 50 km/h, and on highway the maximum speed will be 120, and minimum 60.
While driving on the streets that has limitations with maximum 30 km/h, there must be some drivers not following this speed limitation. Some of them are driving 35 or even nearly 40 km/h when there's no other vehicle within a certain distance, say 50 meters. I bet not everyone on the street strictly follow the speed limitations. Is this 'speeding'?
Perhaps you would say, 35 is not too fast and is acceptable, under the circumstance when there's no other vehicle and pedestrians on the street and near the area. But when the same situation applies to other roads? Say with maximum 50 and you drive 55 or 60 km/h, are you speeding? People might find excuses such as, it's just okay if no danger. But dangers won't tell you in advance.
On highway, the regulation says maximum 120. How come some cars even has the capacity of 280 or even 320 km/h or higher? Is this somehow 'promote' speeding?
Laws and standards are strictly regulated but people are not strictly following it. Indeed, if you don't 'speeding', then other will. If everyone don't speeding there will be more terrible traffic jams. So shall we strictly follow the regulation? or shall we help the make the traffic more smoothly? Or, somewhere between?
The answer of such question is just the same as crime. The cops got you, you are out. If they haven't yet, you are still safe.
Isn't it?
Some would say, people with good ethics would act morally. I would say, how can you define a good ethics? And how do you know this person, whom you have defined as a good ethics person, did not act unethically?
