I finally moved into my new home in Torrance on Thursday (May 24th). It is 2-bed 2-bath townhouse in Torrance. Many townhouses are located in calm and safe area, and surrounded by a gate and wall. Rent is really expensive (even compared with Tokyo suburbs), but many people say,” Safety is to buy”. I believe the words.
木曜日に、とうとうトーランスの新しい家に引っ越した。トーランスにある２ベッド２バスのタウンハウス（長屋）である。多くのタウンハウスが静かで安全なところにあり、ゲートと壁で覆われている。家賃は非常に高い（東京と比べても！）が、多くの人が「安全は金で買うものだ」と言うし、私はこの言葉を信じることにする。
On Saturday, Sunday and Monday (Memorial Day), I drove many markets or shops around my home to buy items for new life. I think I spent probably about $400 in 3 days.
In Japan, I heard many American go to market in weekend and buy huge amount of foods or items for the next week. I realized that it is true. Their carts are filled with items everywhere in supermarkets (supermarkets themselves are really big).
土曜、日曜、そして月曜（メモリアルデー（祝日））、私は車に乗って家の周りの多くのマーケットや店を回り、新生活に必要な商品を買い求めた。おそらくこの３日でだいたい４００ドルほど使ったと思う。
日本では、アメリカ人は週末にマーケットにいって翌週ぶんの食品や物品を大量に買い込むと聞いていたが、それは本当だったとわかった。どこのスーパーでも彼らのカートは商品で一般だった（もっとも、スーパーマーケット自体が巨大なのだが）。
The most impressed is “Farmer’s Market”.
On every Tuesday and Saturday morning, there held “Farmer’s Market” in a park near my home. I happened to visit it on Saturday morning, and surprised to see the scale. More than 50 stores were gathered like a festival, and many people were enjoying shopping. Veggies or fruits were very fresh and reasonable. When my family comes here, I will take them to the market every week.
最も印象的だったのは「ファーマーズマーケット」だった。
毎週火曜と土曜の朝に私の家のそばにある公園では「ファーマーズマーケット」が開かれる。土曜の朝に偶然通りかかって訪れたのだが、その規模には驚いた。５０を超える店がお祭りのときのように出ていて、多くの人たちが買い物を楽しんでいた。野菜も果物も新鮮で安かった。家族が来たら毎週連れて行くことになりそうである。
