Today is a national holiday "a coming-on-age ceremony" in Japan.
20-year-old people is considered as an adult.
They can drink alcohol and smoke.
(But some people who gave a birth from January 15 to March 31 can't still drink and smoke though.)
People of age 20 get together in their city halls or two halls and have a celebration from the cities or towns.
Some women wears beautiful kimonos. Some men wears Hakama, too.
Other people wear formal suits.
Really unfortunately, today, it was bad weather in Japan.
This morning I woke up late and looked through the window.
Then it was amazing that it was a snow town outside the window!!
In Kanto area, if it snows heavily, we can't go outside by car.
Now most trains are delayed or stopped.
In Tokyo the height of snow became 7 cm.
In Yokohama the height of snow became 12cm.
Actually I hate snow. We have to shovel the snow in front of our houses, not to other people's slip here.
Anyway. Congratulations to 20-year-old people.
The news said that about 120,000 people became 20 years old all over Japan.
