なんというか衝突に似た清々する、とろりとした佳境が出現することがある。　　JOHN SURMAN/ UPON REFLECTIONS/ ECM 1148　　JOHN SURMANのバリトンサックスが深く耳の奥に残る。　　無彩色の高潔な力を秘めた、端正・無機質に感じるリード。　ECMの冷ややかな硬質のサウンドカラーのせいが少しある。　ジャケットも無彩色、デザインも北方のどんよりした雲の垂れ込める荒野や海岸。　　うとうとしながら、幸せな甘美な気遠い冷ややかな晦瞑の中へ、錘のようにゆっくりと沈んでいく。
　

♯♭♪ (*^.^*) ： 　Albert Ayler 0 1 2 / Spiritual Unity 　♪ 　♪ 　　Ghosts: First Variation（5:16）、ぶっとい全身を撓らせ・振るわせ・立ち上らせ絞り出す、スピリッツ溢れる明快なキッパリしたメロディーに圧倒され、たちまち嬉しくなる。　　ベース（Gary Peacock）のインテリジェンス溢れる爪弾きは深く心に響き、親密な静謐がたちこめている。　　無窮の跳躍・展開から受ける不安には、思惟の歓びが潜んでいる。　　旺盛な活力の犇めいている気配があり、極上のカタルシスを生起させる。　　The Wizard（7:24）、辺りに愉悦の波動を浸透させ世界を震撼させる。　　畢竟のブローイングはなんと精神を聳やかし屹立させ、歓喜を引き出すことだろう。　　さざ波を起こし戦慄を派生させる、連射インパルスのドラムス（Sunny Murray）は実に嬉しい。　　Spirits （6:49）、のびのびとした屈託のない、ヨロコビの気分（スピリッツ）が燦々と降り注ぐ。　　ベースは絶えずエッセンスを注入し続け、ドラムはさざ波で欲情を起こそうと、インパルスを絶やさない。　　Ghosts: Second Variation（10:01）、豪放・闊達・満身のスピリッツがドクドク波打ち、ハタハタとはためき、渺々と吹き荒ぶ。　　ベースの長いソロ、インパルスのさざ波の中で、黒く重いものがゴツゴツと弾け、得も言われぬカタルシスが流れ出す。　　秩序ある無秩序、耽美探求と混沌の拡散。　　絶対矛盾的自己同一の放つ美に遭遇した驚き。　　親しみのある主題がブローイングされ、剽悍な憂愁、心地よい気分、の余韻で収まる。　　A.
