Sonny Rollins/ ALFIE/ AD-39107　が好きである、それも大変(相当)なのである。　　堂々としてて繊細、寂寥が隠れていてしかも新しくて、なんといってもカラリとしたナミブ砂漠のような突き抜けた開放感が溢れているのが嬉しいのだ。　　闊達にのびのびと全く”無理なく自然にインプロヴィゼーション”が出現し、ぐずったりパラパラ展開され飄々と気持ちよく飛翔し、跳躍したりして、鮮やかな転結がすばらしいぃのだぁ～*。　　それが何時でもそよぐところがやはり無常に好きなのだ。
　

♯♭♪ (*^.^*) ： 　Beaver Harris 1 2 3 / From Ragtime to No Time 　♪ 　　圧倒的な凄腕演奏者達による、またとない魅力的な作品。　前半ラグタイム、後半フリー･フォーム。　　前半は曲間にＭ・サリバンのヴォーカルが”プロムナード”風に入る。　　Ｍ・サリバンの潤いのあるボイスやスチールドラムの饗宴がとても愉しい。　　Drum Solo-A.M.Rag（2:43）、弾むような軽快なドラムソロから始まる。　　Ｄ・バレル（P）とＲ・カーター（B）のラグタイムはとてもシンプル。　　Trnsion（00:23）、ドラムソロ。　　Can There be Peace?（2:21）、Ｍ・サリバンの心に染みいる詠唱。　　It's Hard to but We do（6:57）、アンサンブルによる軽快なラグタイム、Herb Hall（Cl）のサウンドはこのアルバムの核であり、深く心に響き刻まれる。　　Doc Cheatham（Tp）が引き継ぎ、枯れたとても気持のよい演奏、ついでMarshall Brown（Vtb）が滔々と切れの良いなんとも見事な放射。　　Ｄ・バレル（P）の一音一音のきらりと光る演奏、やがてジャムセッションとなり入れ替わりソリストが変わり、ますますアンサンブルは高揚する。　　Trnsion（00:19）、ドラムソロ。　　I Wish I Know（2:44）、Ｍ・サリバンの潤いのあるボイスはなんと澄明であり、脳天から全身に歓喜が打ち震え駆け抜ける。　　Trnsion（00:23）、ドラムソロ。　　Round Trip-Part1（13:13）、Ｒ・カンター（B）とＣ・マクビー（B）のデュオで始まる、Bill Willingham（Vo）のソロに、Sunil Garg（Sitor）が絡む。　　やがてフリー・フォームの合奏、Ｒ・カンター（B）とＣ・マクビー（B）のデュオ。　Keith Marks（Flt）のソロ、やがてこの木管が”裸足の憂愁疾走メロディー”を奏でる、Bill Willingham（Vo）が続く。　　ポリリズムの打楽器の疾走で突然終わる。　　Round Trip-Part2（9:47）、激しいドラムソロで始まり、アンサンブルの合奏。　　Francis Haynes（Steel Ds）から、H.
