日曜日の早朝、とてつもなく早く目が醒めた、熱帯のむせ返るような情熱がたれ込める美味しいコーヒーがあるので、サンジェルマンの”クリームデニッシュパイ”とシナモンドーナツ、それにカリカリのベーコンエッグですばらしい朝食をしたいと思って布団に潜り込んでまだ数時間しか経っていない。　　しばらくうとうとして、『トコッ！、トコッ！、……！』という音と、ズンズン足下を押さえる何者かの気配で、１００万光年の第七銀河の向こうの遙か彼方の作戦地から突然任を解かれ呼び戻される。

Dorham（Tp）やRay Bryant（P）のすばらしい！プレイも随所に。　　Jams & Jellies（7:03）、O.Nelson（Ts）のとても渋い内省的なブローイング、シンプルなおっとりした展開を見せ、安堵と小気味よいカタルシスを分泌させる。　　R.Bryant（P）は華麗にして明快なタッチ、K.Dorham（Tp）の渋いトーン・ストレートな放射が心地良い。　　合奏で心地良いサウンドが構築されコーダ。　　Passion Flower（6:51）、深い眠りから目覚めるような・うつらうつらするありさまを想わせる。　　O.Nelson（Ts）のシンプルにしてストレートなインプロヴィゼーションは、スリリングにして予期せぬ運びであり、やはりとてもすばらしい！。　　Don't Stand Up（3:44）、快活なテンポで始まる、ユニゾンでシンプルテーマが提出される。　　K.Dorham（Tp）の渋い展開を経て、O.Nelson（Ts）のシンプル・ストレートに聞こえるインプロヴィゼーションは不思議な魅力がある。　　Ostinato（5:31）、小気味よいメロディー、K.Dorham（Tp）が提示しそのまま展開に移り、A.Taylor（Ds）の軽快な推進でたっぷり放射。　　R.Bryant（P）のソロを経て、O.Nelson（Ts）のとても溌溂とした渋いブローイングはシンプルなおっとりした印象を見せ、開放感と安堵に包まれる。　　よろこびに溢れた合奏で昂揚しコーダ。　　What's New?（6:53）、O.Nelson（Ts）のゆったり・朗々・のびのびしたブローイングで開始、漂泊するような魅惑に包まれる。　　K.Dorham（Tp）の渋い・落ちついた放射がとてもいいテンポで展開される。　　R.Bryant（P）のソロは、回想するような憂愁が漂い、O.Nelson（Ts）のシンプルな内省的なブローイング、ホーンのオブリガートの生み出すサウンドはとても美しい。　　Booze Blues Baby（6:32）合奏でテーマの提出があり、O.Nelson（Ts）の力溢れる・のびのびしたブローイングは心地良い。　　K.Dorham（Tp）の渋い・開放感溢れる放射がとてもいいテンポで展開される。　　R.Bryant（P）のソロはブリリアントなリッチな独得のタッチで、華麗に繰り広げられる。　　合奏になり次々にソロを披露しコーダ。　　K.
