夕方、玄関で口笛を吹く。　　いつもは、『ミャ…*…*…』小さい打ち振るえる声が還ってくる。　　跳び上がるようにコロコロした茶と黒、白の毛に覆われた溌剌としたお方が駆けてくる。　　北の垣根の向こうの駐車場の方からであったり、西の近所の植木鉢の棚の下から這い出て来ることも、西の道路の向こうの垣根を潜り広い道を横切って来ることもある。　　少し間を置いて力を込めて口笛を吹く。　　何かがゴソゴソ這い出て来ることも、転げてくることもない。

♯♭♪ (*^.^*) ： 　Jackie McLean 1 2 3 / New Soil 　　脱ハードバップの意欲が溢れる、鋭気に満ちたアルバム。　　苦悩と気概の混沌とした新たな深部が、実に味わい深いのさ。　　Hip Strut（11:19）、リフ・ブルース、曲の構成に切り込んだ意欲作、明快なブローイングでズンズン進行する。　　胸の透くよう爽快感、スリリングな展開が見られる。　　D.バードの腹の据わったパワフルな放射は豪快で、鬱屈感を払拭するようで気分上々。　　ベースのボーイング、があり完。　　Minor Apprehension（7:34）疾走するJ.McLeanのソロは覇気に満ちており、すばらしい！。　　続いてD.バードももの凄いパワーでひた走り、ドラムの渾身のソロが展開される。　　 Greasy（7:25）ブギー・ウギー、テーマの提示の後、点描的なピアノの助奏に推進され、J.McLeanが慇懃にとても渋く展開してみせる。　　D.バードの突き抜けたような明快な放射がすばらしい。　　ここでは、引きずるような随喜の境地に浸りこともある。　　Sweet Cakes（6:46）、ルンバ、J.McLeanの目眩く・火の出るような迫真のブローイングに圧倒させられる。　　D.バードの明快にして何処か渋い魅力、突き抜けた明るさ、卓抜な演奏の巧さにとても満足。　　Davis Cup（5:29）、速いテンポ、J.McLeanからP.チェンバースへそして、D.バード、W.D.ジュニアへと快速の心地良いメロディーが渡っていく。　　Formidable（6:12）、。　　D.
