この２ヶ月くらいの間に、自宅の向かい側の家の角の三角部分に、背の高い木が生えてきました。恐らく雑草だと思うのですが、家の人はそのまま放置しているので、もしかしたらこの木が気に入っているのかも知れません。
A tall tree has sprung up during the last month or two in the triangle section on the corner of our neighbor’s house. I think it is a "weed", but the owners have done nothing about it, so maybe they like it.
この場所は幅４ｍ以下の狭い道路が集まる小さな五差路なので、間もなく曲がる時にはこの木が車に接触するようになります。この家の人は顔見知りだから、私から言うべきでしょうか。夜中に勝手に切る訳にもいかないですし。
The road here is a five-way intersection of roads 4 meters or less in width, and quite soon this tree is going to hit my car when I make the turn. Since I know the neighbors, should I speak with them? I can’t just cut it down in the middle of the night.
もうしばらく成り行きを見守るつもりですが、今の時期の雑草の成長スピードは凄いから、１週間～10日が限界かな。ユタ州の自宅周辺は道幅が広いから、こういう状況は想像できません！
I guess I’ll wait and see what happens for a little while longer, but at this time of year weeds grow at an incredible rate. The limit is probably another one week or ten days. The roads around our home in Utah are quite wide, so it’s hard to imagine this kind of situation happening there!
