【おかしな英語】

Nice-lookingは〝眺めのよい〟と翻訳できそうですが、やはり無理です。
この言葉は、He is very nice-looking.（彼は、とてもカッコいい）のように用い、a nice-looking tableとか、a nice-looking viewのように、形容詞的には使いません。
“A nice-looking table”とは「カッコいいテーブル」ということになり、〝食器などがきれいな〟という意味になります。
欧米のレストランでは、座席に案内してくれるのを待つのがマナーであって、その座席についての英語表現は――
・By the window, near the window（窓ぎわ）
・In the corner（角（すみ）のところ）
・Outside（外で）
・On the terrace（テラスで）
・In a non-smoking area（禁煙席）
