ユタ州の我が家の庭は3月から11月まで、何かしらの花がいつも咲いているように設計していますが、今年の冬は寒くて長かったので、普段ならこの時期に咲いているはずの花、特にアイリスがまだです。そのかわりライラックが満開で、香りもとてもいいです。ピンクのものは珍しいそうです。
At my home in Utah, the garden is designed to have something blooming at all times between March and November, but perhaps because we had such a long, cold winter, some of the flowers which I expected to be blooming now, like irises, are not. On the other hand, the lilacs are in full bloom and smell wonderful! I am told the pink ones are somewhat unusual.
