Observing Japanese white collar workers, it seems to me that they tend to conform to the demands of their company regardless of their own personal values. So if they are then “restructured” out of the company around age 40, they have nothing left. While there is nothing wrong with being a company man, in so doing I think it is important to maintain your own set of values. Professor Covey was my teacher in graduate school, so for the future of Japan I hope that the readers of this book will carefully read and understand the “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” and put its teachings into practice.

18 years have elapsed since this book went on sale in Japan. I wonder how the last 18 years have been for those who read the book then.
コヴィー先生は残念ながら2012年に亡くなりになりましたが、
最近、完訳版やマンガ版まで発売されて、再注目されていますね。
私も最近、この名著を改めて読み直すことを考えています。
Unfortunately, Professor Covey passed away in 2012. Recently Franklin Covey Japan published a new complete translation and authorized publication of a manga version. I'm thinking the time may have come for me to read this masterwork again.
