ふと気付いたら、もう2年半も
この公式ブログを更新していませんでした。
It just occurred to me that I have not updated my official blog in over two and a half years.
それなのに、現在も毎日平均300人以上の人たちが、
この公式ブログを訪問して下さっているそうです。
本当にありがとうございます。
Despite that fact, the data shows that over 300 people visit the blog each day, for which I am very thankful.
お気付きの方もいらっしゃるかも知れませんが、
この4月に入ってから、プロフィールの修正や、
ブログテーマの細分化等の作業を密かに進めてきました。
You may have noticed that beginning in April, I quietly updated my profile and divided out the blog topics.
また、昨年出版した新刊へのリンクも作ってみました。
（この本の話は今後詳しくするつもりです）
In addition, I included a link to a new book which I published at the end of last year. (I will comment on the book in more detail in further postings.)
小さなプロフィール変更でも、読者登録されている方
には更新通知が送られたかも知れないので、中には
「Amebaからケントのブログ更新の通知が届いたのに
新しい記事は投稿されていないじゃないか！」と
思われた方がいらっしゃるかも知れません。
肩透かしになってしまってごめんなさい。
When any change is made in my profile, no matter how small, I think that a notification is sent to all of the regular readers. Some of you may be thinking, "I received a notification from Kent's Ameba blog, but there are no new postings!" I don't want to let you down.
今度こそは！マメな更新を実現すべく、今後どのような
記事を書いて行くべきか考えながら、じっくりと準備
しています。要するに、現在ネタを集めている最中
ということです！(笑)
We are preparing all kinds of new postings. Which means that I am looking again at everything around me for ideas.
新しい試みも色々と考えています。今回は手始めに
日本語と英語を併記してみることにしました。日常的な
日本語を英語でどのように表現すれば良いのか、
参考になるかも知れません。
I am also looking at some new approaches. The first one will be to try to do postings both in English and Japanese. I hope this will be of use to you in figuring out how everyday Japanese translates into English.
日本語勉強中の英語圏の人が参考にしてくれるのも
嬉しいかな。もし好評であれば、今後も続けたいと
思います。そして、順に古い記事も英語に直してみます。
I hope that native English speakers studying Japanese will be able to use this to learn new expressions, too. If the response is positive, I want to continue this approach, and I will try to translate some of the older postings into English.
