◆「～はありますか？」（１）
日本人が中学英語の初級クラスで習う英語の一つに、“There is ～”があります。この表現は日常生活でも、There is no Fujimoto here.（フジモトという人間は、ここにいません）などとも使いますし、海外旅行のときなら、「～がありますか？」と、いろいろな質問に使用できて、大変に便利です。
例えば――
Is there any limousine to go to the Hilton Hotel?
（ヒルトンホテルへのリムジンバスはありますか？）
Are there any seats available to this tour?
（この旅行には、空席がありますか？）
Are there any messages for me?
（私あてのメッセージがありますか？）
Is there anyone here who can speak Japanese?
（日本語のできる人は、いますか？）
しかし、この“Is there ～？”は、～のところに、固有名詞が来るときは要注意です。
