With regard to Business meeting of AA・・・
Last night I went to regular AA meeting which is to be my home group of AA from the start of 2017.
I feel more comfortable when I take part in this group meeting, instead of current AA group meeting.
I was just about to leave the meeting place when I was asked by group leader if I can attend business meeting on the day after tomorrow.
Business is a monthly meeting that group members discuss the administration plan.
They will decide the role of everything such as who to open the meeting place, who to manage donate money which is given by attendee.
To be frank with you, I just feel that it is a little bit rush if I attend business meeting because my start day will begin from New Year!! But I am going to give my best shot for this group.
Most members of this group are quite elders and few young.
As for ladies, almost of them has gone back to hospital for drinking. Under such condition, I understand that this group wants to trust to me as a young new comer!!
However…
To be honest, I am not interested in business meeting.
Being stuck with AA is surely for just meeting as treatment of alcoholism.
The reason for I join AA is to make it easy for me to stay with AA as possible as I can.
Therefore it is the best for me to treat alcoholism that I am with home group and take part in only mere meeting without the responsibilities.
I have done so far in current home group.
In current home group, most of members are welfare recipients. They do not want to go back to social world or society and just want to live in AA staying away from real world.
They spend a lot of their time into AA. So Group works well even I do not have specific role of this group. All I do is just to attend meeting for myself.
I do not agree to do something in this group when I was asked to do the role for the reason that I work and do not have spare time to spend AA business.
As might have been expected, some are irritating and other fully would understand me.
As for new group I am supposed to join from New Year, I see different view of group.
I think that I am OK to play the role for this group if I am asked, I do not get excited though.
Mamoru-san is a friend of mine in AA and is also office worker. Nether he is excited in business and it might be a good idea to include him for business meeting together me.
It is getting colder and colder.
