マーク・トウェインの時代は、まだラジオもテレビも映画もなかったので講演会は大きなエンターテイメントだった。
マークが当時まだアメリカ領ではなかった the Sandwich Islands (現在のハワイ）を旅して帰ってきてから講演会を開いたときには大勢の人が集まった。えらい稼いだみたい。それはともかく。
