It’s been a while

It’s been a while to write a diary. I’d been too busy to write. Today I want to write about a trip to New York with my Japanese friends. I left Boston last Tuesday and was staying until last Sunday. It was very fun and I can’t explain how interesting the trip was. I can say for sure it was the most irreplaceable memory in my American life. My friends came to New York from Japan. They said they really wanna go to America before they graduate. So they decided to come to New York and meet me in there. We booked the hotel that was very close to mid-town in Manhattan, so it was very convenient to go anywhere in Manhattan. So we didn’t need to take vehicle, such as cub and train. We were always laughing and having really fun. I do want to appreciate them coming to America and giving me an irreplaceable memory. Anyway I made up my mind to take TOEIC test next weekend. I have to change my mind to focus on studying.

Asking staff

Today I went to Bank of America with my Japanese friend to ask a question about sending money from my account to friend’s one. He was worried if he would be able to understand and ask American staff. However I wasn’t worried at all probably because I often speak with American and got used to speak with them. I was talking to a receptionist of the bank and we could get the information that I wanted to know. I could ask her without fear. After coming back home and eating dinner, I was talking to my Korean roommate. I often eat dinner outside recently, so it’d been a while. I’m leaving this house soon. I’d miss them.

Tried New Place

Today I went to a different meetup from the one that I usual join in. I usually go there every Tuesday. I’d never been to Wednesday one. But my friend told me to go there together, so I decided to go there. There were less people than Tuesday one. And a third of them were the people I know. So I didn’t have to hesitate to start speaking. After that, we change the place from a food court to a Chinese restaurant. While we were heading there, some people went back home. Eventually almost all people were American and nobody was Japanese except for me. That was great situation for me. I’ll probably join in this Wednesday meetup from now on.

American conversation

Today after the class, I went to Gyukaku, which is famous Japanese restaurant and located in near Fenway. Two friends of mine from Korea are leaving Boston for another state. They came to Boston at the same time as me, so I’ll miss them. After that, I went to food court of university and talked with my American friends. I was talking for a long time, I think. Almost all people around me were American, so when they were excited and talking fast, I couldn’t keep up with their conversation. I really wonder when I can get used to the speed of American conversation.

Life Cycle

Today I overslept. Actually I had class in the afternoon, so I wasn’t late. Last week, I had kept waken up early with the intention because I thought that studying in the morning was more efficient than in the evening or night. Although I hate waking up early and prefer studying at night, I had waken up early even when I had class in the afternoon and I didn’t have to get up early. But actually I couldn’t feel waking up early is that much efficient. In fact, I could concentrate on studying at home during morning when I have class in the afternoon, but I often got sleep in the afternoon. So now I don’t know which is more efficient for studying.
