A 22-inch Magnavox flat-screen television, a PlayStation 3 game console, and five PlayStation games, total value $1000, were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Arcadia Street on January 1.

Rodney T. Robinson, 27, 21 Vail Ave., Harvey, was arrested on January 1 and charged with a DUI, driving while license was suspended, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and parking where prohibited. Police were dispatched to the first block of Krotiak Street to investigate a loud noise complaint. They discovered Robinson sitting in his vehicle with the vehicle's radio turned to the maximum volume setting. According to police, Robinson was apparently asleep with the keys in the ignition while the vehicle was running.

A 26-foot box truck was reported stolen from a business in the 2200 block of Western Avenue on January 2. The vehicle was recovered near 159th Street and Kedzie Street in Markham on January 4.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Juniper Street on January 2 to investigate a report of domestic violence. Police gathered evidence from the scene and have suspect information.

A resident told police on January 3 that he lost his wallet in 2007 which, at the time, contained his Illinois driver's license and other forms of identification. He told police that he never filed a police report at that time, saying that he was young and did not realize he needed to file a report. Since that time, someone, apparently using his identification, received over 40 traffic citations using his name. He has since lost his Illinois driver's license because of unpaid fines and penalties relating to this other person's alleged violations. The resident is filing the report now, working with an attorney to reestablish his Illinois driver's license.

Police were dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on January 3 to investigate a domestic battery like dell INSPIRON 2600 battery , dell INSPIRON 2650 battery , dell 1G222 battery , dell BAT3151L8 battery , dell Latitude X300 battery , dell W0465 battery , dell Inspiron 2000 battery , dell Latitude LS battery , dell 2834T battery , dell 4834T battery complaint. Police took information, have suspect information, and continue to investigate.

A black 2005 four-door Nissan Altima, Illinois registration 7645811, was reported stolen from the 200 block of Krotiak Street on January 4. The vehicle had been left outside to warm up, doors unlocked, keys in the ignition.

Police say a juvenile was playing with a lighter and hairspray in a bedroom of a residence in the 100 block of Chestnut Street on January 4, using the hairspray to ignite the flame. In doing so, he caused a bedroom wall to catch on fire. A resident at that address was able to use flour from the kitchen to put out the fire prior to the arrival of the Park Forest Fire Department. There were no arrests.

A 46-inch LG television and a 40-inch Toshiba flat-screen television were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Somonauk Street on January 4.

An officer was dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on January 4 to investigate a claim of credit card fraud. A resident told police she checked her checking account via telephone and found that she had a negative balance of $961. She told police that her account should have had a positive balance. Upon investigation, she discovered an unauthorized transaction in the amount of $1000. The fraudulent transaction occurred via PayPal, according to the resident. Police continue to investigate.

An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Park Street to investigate a domestic battery incident on January 4. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.

Carlos D. White, 21, 211 Kentucky St., Park Forest, was arrested on January 5 and charged with possession of cannabis and issued a speeding ticket after an officer observed the vehicle White was driving exceed the speed limit on Western Avenue northbound from Main Street, according to police.

An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street to investigate a telephone threat. A resident told an officer that he had received several text messages from an unknown person threatening to harm him and his vehicle. The person also demanded $2000 to leave him alone. Police have the phone number of the person who allegedly sent the texts and are investigating.
