寒波が緩んで、暖かな朝になりました。
朝散歩と朝ご飯が済むと、老犬たちはそれぞれお昼寝態勢に入ります。
良いね、君たちはいつもラクチンそうで。そんなに寝てばかりだと、太るよ。

アカデミ―賞２０２０で主演男優賞を受賞したホアキン・フェニックス氏のスピーチが、
とても心に響きましたので、皆さまと共有したいと思いました。
この様な説得力を持つ有名人が、このような拡散力のある場で、
苦境にいる人たちや動物たちの為に発信して下さったことに、とても感謝しています。

アカデミー賞2020ホアキン・フェニックスの痛烈な主演男優賞受賞スピーチ
ハイ、皆どうだい？ハイ。ゴッド、今は感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。
ここにいる候補者たち、そしてこの場にいる全員と比べて自分が何か優れているなんてまったく感じられない。なぜなら僕らは皆同じ映画への愛を共有しているから。
（演技という）この形の表現活動は僕に本当に素晴らしい人生を与えてくれた。
もし演技がなかったら、僕自身はどうなっていたか分からない。
だけど、演技が僕とこの場にいる僕らの多くにもたらしてくれた最大の贈り物は、
自分たちの声を声なきものたちへと使う機会だと思っている。
Hi. ‘Sup? Hi. God, I’m full of so much gratitude right now. I do not feel elevated above any of my fellow nominees or anyone in this room, because we share the same love, the love of film. This form of expression has given me the most extraordinary life. I don’t know what I’d be without it. But I think the greatest gift that it’s given me and many of us in this room is the opportunity to use our voice for the voiceless.

最近、僕は我々皆が直面している悲惨な幾つかの問題について沢山考えてきた。
そして、時々、僕らが守ろうとしている様々な問題について感じ、
あるいは感じざるを得ないような状況に今あるんだと思う。そこには共通しているものがあると思う。
ジェンダーの不均衡、人種差別やクィア・ライツ、先住民の権利やアニマル・ライツ、
それらはすべて不正義に対する戦いだ。
僕たちはある一つの国、一つの国民、一つの人種、一つの社会的性別、もしくは一つの種がその他を支配し、コントロールし、利用し、搾取することに対して罪に問われないという思い込みに対して 戦っているんだ。
I’ve been thinking a lot about some of the distressing issues that we are facing collectively, and I think at times we feel or we’re made to feel that we champion different causes. But for me, I see commonality. I think whether we’re talking about gender inequality or racism or queer rights or indigenous rights or animal rights, we’re talking about the fight against injustice. We’re talking about the fight against the belief that one nation, one people, one race, one gender, or one species has the right to dominate, control, and use and exploit another with impunity.
僕たちは自然から資源を強奪している
僕らは自然界との繋がりを絶たれてしまったように思う。
そして僕らの殆どは自分たちが宇宙の中心だと思い込み、
自己中心的な世界観を持つという罪を犯してしまっている。
僕らは自然界の中に入り込み、その資源を強奪している。
僕らは牛を人工的に交配させ、
その牛が仔牛を産んだら、母牛が怒りのあまり泣き叫んでいるのは明らかなのにも拘わらず、
そうする権利が勝手にあると思い込んでいる。
それから僕らは仔牛の為に本来あるはずの母牛の乳を取り上げ、
自分たちのコーヒーやシリアルに入れています。
I think that we’ve become very disconnected from the natural world and many of us what we’re guilty of is an egocentric worldview, the belief that we’re the center of the universe. We go into the natural world, and we plunder it for its resources. We feel entitled to artificially inseminate a cow, and when she gives birth, we steal her baby even though her cries of anguish are unmistakable. Then we take her milk that’s intended for her calf, and we put it in our coffee and our cereal.
変化は何かを犠牲にすることだから
僕らは個人的な変化という概念を恐れているのだと思う。
なぜならそれは自分たちが何かを犠牲にしたり、諦めることだから。
だけど人類は、最高の状態では非常に発明的で創造的で、元から独創的だ。
だから僕は愛と思いやりを僕らの原則として、これからすべての感情あるものと環境にとって
利益があるように変えていくシステムを創造し、発展させ、実現させていくことができると思っている。
I think we fear the idea of personal change, because we think that we have to sacrifice something, to give something up. But human beings at our best are so inventive and creative and ingenious, and I think that when we use love and compassion as our guiding principles, we can create, develop, and implement systems of change that are beneficial to all sentient beings and to the environment.
こんな僕にセカンドチャンスをくれて感謝しています
僕はこの人生でずっと、悪いやつだった。
僕は自己中心的で、時には冷酷で、一緒に仕事するのが難しい人間だった。
だから、こんな僕にセカンドチャンスをくれたここにいる多くの皆さんに感謝しています。
僕たちは最高のときには、お互いを支え合うことができる。
それは過去に犯した間違いを相殺する時ではなく、お互いの成長を助け、教え合い、
お互いを救済へと導く時なんだ。それこそが人間性において最高のものなんだ。
I’ve been a scoundrel in my life. I have been selfish, I’ve been cruel at times, hard to work with, and I’m grateful that so many of you in this room have given me a second chance. I think that’s when we’re at our best, when we support each other. Not when we cancel each other out for past mistakes, but when we help each other to grow, when we educate each other, when we guide each other towards redemption. That is the best of humanity.
愛をもって他人を救え。その先に平和がある
僕が17の時、兄がこの歌詞を書いた。
「愛をもって救済へ向かえ。そうすれば平和がその後を追うだろう」と。
