Also, if you're wearing a mask, make sure that it covers your entire face. Make sure that your mask isn't just some basic Halloween mask.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because it allows me to express my creativity. I love getting dressed up in Halloween costume, putting on a fake mustache, and walking around with my kids to trick-or-treat with the neighbors. However, I’ve found that most of the costumes I see adults wear are terrible (in my opinion). My hope for this year’s Halloween is that everyone dresses up in unique and fun ways that express their personality while still looking presentable.

Or you could just wear whatever you want. Go as a group, or mix it up and have some guys in masks, too. Have a costume contest, and give away prizes. You can play games and see who wins. Put on a scary show for everyone. Or have a spooky dance party.

Have a “how to” party. The trick to Halloween party is to make it fun! Invite people you know will enjoy the event and make it a costume party. Keep it light and fun. The more people there are, the less time everyone will need to spend planning or preparing for the event. Make sure everyone has a chance to interact with each other. Remember to set some ground rules and be prepared to enforce them.

I am not saying that you need to go out and buy a chicken costume (but you could totally do that). I’m saying that if you’ve got some friends who are looking for a fun and unique way to party, you can easily and inexpensively use a chicken costume to make it happen!
