WOW, this weekend July 20th and 21st we got to take part in a local festival in hirakata and it was an AMAZING experience. even though it was a hot day, we donned the traditional Happi festival gear, and carried a giant wooden structure across town and it was crazy. every few meters when in a crowd, you stop carrrying the wooden Mikoshi, lower it to your waist, and everyone runs around it in a circle, it gets so hecktic but it feels and looks incredible. what a tradition! If we ever come back to Japan, I will have to make sure to come during another one of these festivals.

新町のデッカい神輿は、啓光学園ラグビー部の皆さんへお任せし、我々は、高知県四万十市中村の提灯神輿を担いで、グルグル回って回って回って回って、えらいこっちゃです。
まぁ、神輿に外国人ってのは、いつものことながら目立ちますわ
