Hello everyone!
Finally Major League Baseball games have started about 4 months later than usual.
I have been looking forward to watching Los Angeles Angels games and a Japanese superstar player Shohei Ohtani who has been on the team since 2018.
He is called a “two-way player” that means having great ability both as a pitcher and as a batter like Babe Ruth, the god of baseball.
Unfortunately he couldn’t play as a pitcher last season because he had an operation to repair a ligament on his right elbow, nevertheless he performed well as a batter.
Now it’s time again for him to show his talented performance.
The situation is still not perfect because there are no spectators, no high-fives, no hugs, etc.
I’m looking forward to rooting for the pitcher Ohtani in person at a stadium in the near future.
Actually today he played as a pitcher in Oakland for the first time in 2 years, but he gave up 4 runs in the first inning and got knocked out after only 30 pitches.
Honestly I was disappointed, but at the same time I’m relieved to know that he is still a human, not a god.
