hi, how are you?
i'm writing my blog in english this time, The orders I got are:
swalovski collarand leash "black diamond" with black leather,
and "muscat" collar and leash with white leather for FIFI (Louisa mama), so cute and lovely buddy.
why i'm writing in english? because FIFI's mam is from LA, not quite sure which language
is better for her, sure english I guess.. , I've not been using my english for loooooong time
since I got be here in japan so this is good time to re-practice my skill.. hehe.
ok, let's get started.
these are the materials I'm going to use, black and white leather.
first off, i have to die-cutting the leather to make the collar.
then, shave around all the edges to round it, if I don't do that you don't get the comfortable touch feeling, you know? you feel roughness..
this is the one of the most important process here.
first, I shave with japanese planer, shave roughly, then i use knife (this one if especially just for leathers) to shave more, and finally sand well with very fine-grained sand paper to make edges
smooth and even look better.
ok, now i'm going to shave the area aound the metal fittings, (I didn't know the word for that so I
dictionalied the word "kanagu",.) to make it thinner so when I fold there it's going to be
easier to fasten it.
shaving about 1/32 inches, i guess.
now I'm going to fasten it.
using about 3/16 inches long, I don't know what that called, swage? rivet button??
anyway, this is the half process here, finishing the base materials,
the next step is to stick the swalovski onto the leather, not onto the base collar,
another thinner leather. then I fit together it.
that is gonna be next time!
damn my english, don't you think?? i've always hated the writing test at the school...
hate that. never got more than C... damn..
see you next time,
