A motorcade drove through Minneapolis to demand justice for the death of Amir Locke, 22, a black man who was shot and killed by Minneapolis police officers while they were serving a no-knock warrant.

Sunday's caravan of about 50 vehicles was organized by the Racial Justice Network and other police accountability groups.

Some of those in the motorcade then gathered in a block outside what is believed to be the home of interim police Chief Amelia Hoffman. They chanted the names of Rock and Breonna Taylor, a black woman who was killed by Kentucky State troopers in a nonknock attack in 2020.

They also called for Hoffman's resignation, according to the Star Tribune.

"We're looking for her work," activist Toussaint Morrison said on a microphone outside her home, "because the only thing they seem to focus on is when it affects their work or their money. But when it affects our lives, we stop."

The rally followed a march on Saturday that drew hundreds of demonstrators onto the streets of Minneapolis. Protesters met outside the Hennepin County government Center before walking through downtown streets.
