Two new federal lawsuits have been filed against former President Donald Trump. Law enforcement officials filed a lawsuit at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, claiming they were injured and traumatized by attacks directed by Trump.

The two complaints -- one by the U.S. Capitol Police and the other by two members of the DC Metropolitan Police Department -- join six other civil lawsuits against Trump, rioters or others for their alleged role in encouraging the Capitol attack.

The latest case accuses Trump of directing assault and battery; Aiding and abetting assault and battery; In violation of local D.C. laws against incitement to riot and disorderly conduct.
