Grandma greengrocer
On returning from ping-pong practice, I dropped by a small greengrocer and bought some citrus fruit and sweet potatoes from the granma. It's just a cozy entrance space of her house where she puts vegetables and fruits, which is located on a narrow road along a commercial high school.
I paid 330 yen for three 美生柑, and 200 yen for a pile of さつまいも.
It's quite reasonable compared to a supermarket in the area.
Though she only has 7 or 8 kinds of groceries, I love visiting there because the woman is so adorable.
She is a hardworking happy human being.
I say, "Hi, are you there?"
Then, she comes out of the room behind the entrance saying, "Welcome!"
We always exchange a few words, like "Oh, these tomatoes look good, but I have a huge luggage. Do you think they will be still here tomorrow? " "Yeah. And these citrus fruits are so good. You will probably want more of them when you come back tomorrow.
She is a small ordinary grandma. And, so adorable.
