The First Impressions of VOOPOO X217 Mod from An

The X217 is a dual 2×700 battery mod, which means you can use 21700, 20700 or 18650 batteries with it. It's rated at 217 watts with an upgraded screen and of course GENE chip. I'm not sure of the color options available as I couldn't find any reliable information on that, but I have seen pictures of a few color options.

Mine is listed on the box as "purple jade" and it's a gunmetal body with black/red/blue resin accents.

When I first saw this mod, I was pretty impressed by the design and feel of it. The finish looks great and it has carbon fiber accents, some nice resin panels on the back and the fire button, a bright large color screen, and a centered platform for the 510 to handle 30 mm atomizers. It reminded me a lot of the SX mini G class mod, but a little bigger and made to accommodate larger batteries.

Feeling VOOPOO X217 Mod!

This is a pleasantly solid device. The buttons are are positive with a good click and are comfortable to use. They have enough resistance that you won't accidentally press them and they are fine when in your pocket.

The 510 connector is smooth and does the job and there is plenty of space for any diameter atomiser. It has a wide base around it too which will stop the main mod getting any atty swirls.

The display is great, very nice screen which is easy to use in any light from bright sunlight to low lighting and you can adjust the brightness in the settings. The lock screen is a clock makes iteasy to check when X217 was on your side and you can check the time whenever you want.

Then there are the LED lights! You can set them to red, blue, green or multicoloured, and they graduate and change. With them, you can easily stand out at night time. They also pulse when you take a puff and the pulsing gradually gets faster the longer you inhale. Pretty cool, ha?

Pretty High Praise for VOOPOO Drag 2!

Drag 2 mod can reach up to 5-177w which works on TC for vapers who enjoy this type of vaping experience. The chipset in this kit is the new GENE FIT which is great, and the performance is consistent throughout the vaping experience. 

There is an UP / DOWN button below the display, and a micro USB port for charging under it. The micro USB port is also used for connection with the PC at the time of firmware update. Firmware can be downloaded on the VOOPOO site. Manuals and firmware etc can also be downloaded at VOOPOO Service. And you can make various settings on the PC by using Configuration software.

The battery cover is stopped at the top and bottom two magnets. It’s easy to take it off and put it on when changing batteries.

The puff switch emits a good resonance. I also made a good click feeling and good making. Since the center part of the switch is dented, touching fingers is pleasant. And the point that it is a metal part above all is a high score for me. The texture of the part touched by the finger is important.
