Today, I'll show you many kinds of interesting Japanese goods.

These goods are also good as souvenirs.

★Animal Character Goods

Japanese really likes cute character goods even if for adults.

Do you know how to use these items?

They are a not so big and palm-sized.

They are used to protect plug and code cord.

Like these.

They are really cute, aren't they?

Next, they are also related with to electronic equipment.

They are used by to protect earphone jack's hole and keep it clean.

It looks like a tiny little cat on your phone every time.

I like it.

The advertisement on the photo in Japanese says "Although you can't see the cat's paw pads, but we exactly they are there  wrote painted them.".

Next goods are these.

The figure put on the edge of cop cup is the latest craze.

This girl is also a craze.

Her name is "Fuchiko".

The word "fuchi" means "edge" in English, and "ko" is put on the last part of the woman name like MariKO.

And cookie tipe type is also recently a trend.

Like this.

By the way, do you kow this machine?

It's called "Gacha-Gacha" in Japanese.

The reason why it's called that is the sound when the handle is turned sounds like "Clatter-Clatter".

You put just two or three hundred‐yen coins on the machine and turn the handle, and then you can get a capsule that has toy into oneselves inside it.

It is a picture of just capsule.

In Japan, there are many capsule toy vending machines at toy store, supermarket, and big station.

Even if adults, they like to do it.

Turning the hundle handle is excited exciting for us.

★Sushi Goods

Speaking of the famouse famous things is there are of course sushi, right?

Many foreign people like sushi.

So we have many kinds of sushi goods for souvenir.

Please look at this picture.

What do you think they are?

They look like real sushi, but they are fakes.

From the first, they were made by just as samples, to show a customer what menue do they have is on the menu.

But now, they also are produced as funny goods.

The two upper pictures in the upper are pictures of sushi magnets.

You can put these sushis on your refrigerator.

And you can attache attach the sushi straps on your bag. haha.

It's fun, isn't it?

We have really many [really a lot of]or[very many] sushi goods.

Please let me introduce more things.

They are sushi memo pads!

You can take notes on the sushi!

And then, they are sushi socks.

Can you believe it?

You can wear the sushi on your foot!

Like this picture.

Then, they there are sushi suitcases!

There are just covers printed with sushi for a suitcase.

So you just buy it, then you can change your suitcase to a sushi version of it!

This picture is taken at an airport looks like conveyor belt sushi. hahaha.

Usefull Useful stationery

You know, Japanese stationery is really usefull useful!

Do you know the "Erasable Ballpoint Pen"?

The name is really wierd weird.

But we can do that!

If you make a mistake while writing with this pen, you can erase your error with the rubber on the tip of the pen!

What a nice pen!

I don't know the reason well, but it's really good an invention!

And do you know what are they?

They look like pens, but they aren't.

Surprisingly, they are scissors!

You can bring it easely with your pens.

★Japanese confectionery

Japanese confectioneries are really delicate and cute.

Foreigners likes them, but they do not keep for long.

That's a problem.

So I thought, what is the best sweet as a souvenir in Jaoan.

- Continue to next time -

----

First, thank you for inviting us for the BBQ party at your home on July 4.

I enjoyed talking with people, eating great food that like a hotdog and a strawberry shortcake, and playing table tennis with Lisa!

Of course, I enjoyed a July 4th parede, too!

It was unforgettable time for Go and me.

We ate sausages, a potate salad, and cones that Lisa gave us at lunchtime on next day.

And we ate a strawberry shortcake and watermelon tha Lisa gave us at teatime on next day.

We enjoyed the 4th July dishes twice!

Thank you, Lisa!

And on that night, we went to the park nearby google office to see the fireworks.

It was nice.

I could completely feel the July 4th culture!

I was talking about "Japanese confectionery".

The problem was they do not keep for long.

So I thought, what is the best sweet as a souvenir in Jaoan.

Do you know what is this rabbit made from?

It is a candy.

The only special craftsmen can make this artistic candy.

What a beautiful!

The candy is definitely long-life sweet but they are too delicate to bring to far away.

Then, how about this kind of candy?

I think it's good for souvenir.

The shape is very simple, but it looks cute.

This kind of candy is made by extending the candy for a long and cutting it with a knife.

Like this picture.

Well, let's see other types of Japanese candies!

They are called "Temari candy".

Temari is a long-standing toy for children in Japan.

It likes ball and it is made by silk yarn.

Children play it bouncing on the ground.

Temari candy was made as imitated it.

Both are cute.

And other kinds candy is this.

They are called "conpeitou".

We need a large pot to make this, so we can not be made by individuals.

And it takes for about a 10-days to make it!

I like it because it is delicious and looks cute.

I think Japanese are good at making a delicate thing.

Next sweet is not candy.

It's called "Monaka".

Monaca is a Japanese-style confection that wraps a bean jam in a shell made by mochi.

I like it because there are many cute shape it.

But it do not keep for long.

This is good for about a week.

★Japanese crafts

There are a lot of crafts made by traditional Japanese pattern.

They are also popular with foreigners.

For example, these are kinds of purse, called 'gamaguchi'

You can use it as acoin case.

It is also popular thing.

It is called "tenugui" and made by cotton yarn.

You can use it like a towel.

Tenugui has many kinds of pattern.

So you can find your favorite one.

I can't wait to buy some good souvenirs to friends and myself!
