A research team from the National University of Singapore and Yonsei University in South Korea recently published a paper on a technology that uses the ToF (Time of Flight) sensor of a smartphone to detect hidden cameras.

研究チームの一人であるSriram Samiは、次のようにコメントした。「攻撃者はどこにでも隠しカメラを設置することが可能で、一般市民は無防備だ。だからこそ、我々はこの仕事をしているし、隠しカメラの検知がより一般的になることを願っている」
Sriram Sami, a member of the research team, commented: "Attackers can place hidden cameras anywhere, and the public is defenseless. That's why we're doing this work and hope that hidden camera detection will become more commonplace.
