I asked to bring my mum out for a meal yesterday, but she said no because she wanted to visit a temple or something. えー

I think Mother's Day is so ironic. It gives people a reason to not appreciate their mothers the other 364 days of the year. Although I suppose without it, some mothers will not be appreciated for even a day.

I am heading to Nex now to buy a delicious bowl of noodles from a Taiwanese stall for her. It isn't much, but I wouldn't know what clothes to buy her even if I tried. And she doesn't have any other things she wants.

Okay I got my oyster noodles. It smells wonderful.

How about Princess? Did you do anything for the Queen? Maybe it's difficult since you aren't even in the the same country or timezone. Unlike me and my mum, you chat with her on an instant messenger. Make sure you thank her!

Lastly... A happy Mother's Day to you too, Yue. For being like a mother to me when you nag at me to sleep and wake up early, among so many other things. I have great 作息 now.

I will like to meet your son or/and daughter someday, and tell them to appreciate their great mother. 照れ
I am eating lunch with my colleague now~

He was my team mate for a while but he got shifted to another team. He's such a phone addict. プンプン

Poor friend of mine, he is in a heavy debt because his scholarship got cancelled. The kind of debt that requires working 3 years to repay. I can't imagine having to work 3 years and making no savings... Thankfully I am in a careful person.
Yesterday was Vesak day, and there was a cultural heritage festival at Outram Park, where I cut my hair. So I made sure to submit some of my work on Tuesday before I left.

Today I opened my email, and I saw some response from my boss in Japan.

He praised me again. ニコニコ

In response to a event proposal PowerPoint slides, he said "Is Prince Sunshine-san a new employee? I am surprised at how well done the slides are."

In response to my character design forms, he said "I can't help but think that the card descriptions are summarised very well."

He asked if I want to try writing a story event for the collaboration event. I am wondering whether to say yes or not... I don't have confidence in writing a story in Japanese for Japanese people to read. ガーン

But if I do it well, I might get promoted faster. Hmm... I should push myself as much as I can. I already feel like my workload is quite heavy though.

I am aiming to be promoted faster than all my same batch colleagues. I know I can do it, because I truly shine at what I do here.

Go go me!

Okay, I reached King Albert Park. It's time to start my Japanese tuition.

I visited my first ever Japanese salon yesterday. My hairdresser is Teru, born in Gifu prefecture.

It was a very expensive haircut, and the end result was more or less the same as the cheap places I visited in the past, but I enjoyed chatting with Teru. He also told me a lot about hair and styling.

He told me that I could easily create volume using hair wax, and perming is totally unneccesary. I spent the last hour an hour watching Gatsby hair-styling tutorial videos, and that is indeed true.

I had a gray moving rubber, but he recommended me to use the purple one instead. I shall do so.

Teru said that to him, I was an "雲の上の存在”, meaning an existence above the heavens, due to the fact that I graduated from a top university and can speak so many languages. He didn't even think I was a Singaporean, due to the way I was dressed and my hairstyle. He taught I was Taiwanese. He even asked me how many years I have been living in Singapore. He was really surprised when I told him that I was a Singaporean.

His wife is a beautician who works at a beauty parlour right above his salon. It's so wonderful that they are close to each other at all times. I envy him very much.

There was a drink menu too. I ordered a glass of peach tea, and it was so delicious.

Even though it's expensive, I believe I will visit it again. Next time with Marcus, who was the one who recommended it to me.

Now on to other matters. I managed to run 2 km two days ago, and 1 km yesterday. I want to keep this up. I do feel more energetic, and my body is tired.

I ordered a mini fridge to put in my room. I will be using it to store my milk and eggs. I will be eating a lot of protein from now on, to gain some weight and muscles. I will also be getting a lot of tuna for its omega 3 which will boost my skin, hair, heart, and brain health.

I bought some nice clothes from Uniqlo too. Not quite enough though.

I have already spent quite a lot of money this month, but they are mostly for long term items, so it's worth it.

My treadmill is here.

I will be running every other day. Hope I can stay motivated. Running 2 km already made me so tired. The air here is no good, and it gets ridiculously warm after a short while. Gotta find ways to overcome these unfavorable conditions.
