The attempt of Hawaiian sound design actually worked!!
I listened to each samples of HULA instrument, and imported into NN-XT.
There are Ipu which is a drum made of giant squash, A shark belly drum with bamboo body, shakers made of seeds, and conch shells. I didn't what would work, so I auditioned each percussion first, and imported into the sampler.

First, I tried to make a "Hawaiian percus kit", but it didn't work. Since the percussion are not necessarily tuned, you don't know how they would be mapped out on the keys. SO it required a wide range of zone for each instrument. At the end, I needed a patch for ever single instrument, instead of making kits.

The F'aatete shark drum surprisingly worked. It had a rich warm tones only the natural material would offer. And the seed shakers for dancing really pops highlights the rhythm section. I needed to do bamboo drum sticks too, but I will do it tomorrow.

These intruments really made the track sound warmer and phatter, and fuller. Now I have to chop the waves and map out of the keys. I will do it tomorrow too. I hate the fact I spent too much time for the brain storming, but I'm hoping I can use the same techniques for other songs in the near future.

Maybe I should start audition for R&B patches to see inf there are anything usable.
