先日、出張でネピドーに行ってきました。飛行機で片道35分のフライト。離陸したと思ったら着陸という超短時間フライトでした。ネピドーは2006年にヤンゴンから突然移転したミャンマーの首都。ミャンマー人に話を聞くと、全く知らされずにいきなりの移転だったみたい
さて、今日はこの曲。得意のパワーバラード。

この曲はBillboard誌で1984年6月に2週間、最高5位を記録。彼らの2ndアルバム「Midnight Madness」からの2ndシングルで、彼らの最大のヒット曲っす。Vo.はJackでなくDrumのKellyで、彼の妹のことを書いた曲だとか
彼らって1stシングルの「Rock In America」や、1stアルバムの「Don’t Tell Me You Love Me」とか、カッコいいAmerican Hard Rockを演るんだけど、この曲の大ヒットでバラード・ハード・ロック・バンドってイメージが定着しちゃった気がします
。いい曲なんですけどね、この曲も。でも高一男子的には「Rock In America」の方がダンチで好きでしたな
PVはどこぞの高校で撮影されたもの。卒業式かな？ 流行りのスクールものっす。高校にNight Rangerのメンバが、ってのはちと無理があるね
名曲です。まぁ、聴いてみてくださいな。

Hi, everyone. This is Tsu-can from Yangon.
On this Thursday, visited Nay Pyi Daw as business trip. It took 35 minutes for one way. Nay Pyi Daw is the capital city of Myanmar which was established in 2006 suddenly and moved from Yangon. According to my Myanmar friend, nobody knew this new capital city redeployment at that time.
Well, let’s move to today’s song. It was power ballad song.
“ Night Ranger / Sister Christian “
This song got 2 weeks No.5 on Billboard Magazine in June of 1984. It was 2nd single from their 2nd album “Midnight Madness” and was biggest hit for them. Singer was Kelly and he wrote this song for his sister.
Just my opinion, they played american hard rock like “Rock In America” and “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”, however this song was power ballad song. Therefore everybody thought Night Ranger was Ballad Hard Rock band. Yes, this song was great song, but I liked “Rock In America” more than this song. This video was filmed at a high school in somewhere.
But it was good ballad, try this song.
