一緒に働いていた若いミャンマー人が経済的な理由で今月いっぱいで会社を辞めることになりました。バリバリのエンジニアなのですが、給料は10万円以下。もっともらえる海外の会社に行くことに。まだまだミャンマーの会社の給料水準は低いのです・・・。
さて、今日はこの曲。PVが気味悪かった覚えが・・・。

邦題は「ロンリー・ハート」。この曲はBillboard誌で1984年1月に2週間、最高1位を記録。彼らの11thアルバム「90125」からの1stシングルですね。このアルバムはYesが1981年に解散し、その再結成アルバムとして、また随分とポップになったことで話題になってました
プログレ時代のYesについてはあまり明るくないのですが、この曲はギターが鳴ってて、純粋にロックソングとして好きでした
。「ギャンっ！」って鳴るサンプリングとか、時計のように刻まれるギターもとっても印象的。
このアルバムって今までのYesから変わったと当時言われてました。変えたのはProducerのTrevor Hornなんですが、このアルバムから加わったギターのTrevor Rabinの影響もあるって当時言われてた気がします まぁ、単純高一男子、そんな込み入ったことは全く気にしてませんでしたが・・・
PVはバンドの演奏シーンで曲が始まって途中でメンバが鷲とか蛇とかに変わってしまう、少し気持ち悪い感じをよく覚えてます・・・
。で、もってその変身シーンで曲が一時中断して、また曲が初めから始まるという・・・。そこからはなんか気持ち悪いシーン多発です・・・
。ちょっと映画みたいなのも特徴的。
CMでも使われていたので、日本のお茶の間でも有名（だと勝手に思ってます）。
ベテランのタイトなロック、まぁ、聴いてみてくださいな。

Well, let’s move to today’s song. Video was little dismal.
“ Yes / Owner Of A Lonely Heart “
This song got 2 weeks No.1 on Billboard Magazine in January of 1984. This was 1st single from their 11th album “90125” and it was their only one No.1 song. Yes was unformed at 1981, then they reunited with this album. So it became big new as a reunited album and changing to pop rock.
I’m not so familiar with progressive Yes, but they played this song with good rock so I liked. It was very impressive with guitar sounded like tick-tack and sampling sound. I remember they was changed with this album from previous progressive era. Trevor Horn who was the producer changed Yes, and also Trevor Rabin who joined to Yes from this album changed them.
In this video, band members transformed to a snake, an eagle, an lizard and so on. I felt dismal at that time…. From half of this video, it was like a movie which had dismal scene.
This song may be popular because it was used in TV CM film in Japan.
But they play tight rock song, try it.
