ヤンゴン、レストラン事情。今日はShwe Kaung Hot Pot。Hot Potとは鍋のことです。どんなに暑くてもミャンマーの方々はこの鍋が好きです
。大きな冷蔵庫の中から好みの具をトレーごと持って自分の卓にある鍋で食べます。スープは辛いのと白湯スープの2種。安くてうまいのです
さて、今日はこの曲。USではこっちの曲が先でした。

この曲はBillboard誌で1984年12月に最高43位を記録。彼らの1stアルバム「Welcome To The Pleasuredome」からの2ndシングルっすね。1stシングルはRelaxなんだけど、USではTwo Tribesの方が先にヒットしました。
サイレンと共に男性の声（英国政府の本当の核警告広告の放送らしいっす）で始まるこの曲。UK Artistらしくシンセがてんこ盛りで仰々しいっすね。ただこの時のFrankieは飛ぶ鳥落とす勢いだったので、この曲も良く聞きました
ただピカソを真似たジャケのアルバムは2枚組で、Relax、Two Tribes以外はほとんど印象なかったなぁ・・・。ヒット曲が主食の高一男子、この2曲のみ聴いていたので、アルバムは「なげーよ
」と思ってましたー。
あ、そう言えばBruce SpringsteenのBorn To Runをカバーしてたな・・・
。
PVは元10ccで、当時映像クリエイターで一世風靡していたGodley & Creme。当時の米ソ首脳、レーガン大統領とチェルネンコ書記長がスーツ姿で、砂で目潰し・耳かじり・玉掴みと何でもありの取っ組み合いするものっす
。かなーりインパクトありましたね、このPV。米ソが戦争すると世界各国が戦争になって、しまいには地球が無くなっちゃうよ、って感じで終わります
戦争反対、まぁ、聴いてみてくださない。

Hi, everyone. This Tsu-chan from Yangon.
Restaurant in Yangon now. Today’s restaurant is Shwe Kaung Hot Pot. As you know it is 40 degrees in Yangon now however Myanmar people like this hot pot. We can pick ingredients which put on the tray in big refrigerator, then boil them in a pot at table. It’s cheap but very delicious.
Well, today’s song is this. This song was earlier than Relax in US.
“ Frankie Goes To Hollywood / Two Tribes “
This song got No.43 on Billboard Magazine in December of 1984. It was 2nd single from their 1st album “Welcome To The Pleasuredome”. 1st single was “Relax” but it hit after this song.
Started with siren and male’s voice as announcement. As other UK hit song, this song featured much synthesizer sound. The album jacket had strange drawing like Picaso’s. This album was 2 records set however just these 2 singles were my favorites. Oh, also they played Bruce Springsteen’s “Born To Run”.
This video was created by Godley & Creme of 10cc. Dead ringer for US president Reagan and Soviet general secretary Chernenko fought each other. It expressed the cold war between these two countries. I guess this video is saying that if US and Soviet start war, all of the world will fall in the end at last.
No more war, try this song.
