さて、今日でWater Festivalは終了っす。初日・2日目とゴーグル装着で参加して、もうずぶ濡れになりました（笑） 今の所、結膜炎・腹痛にはなってないです
（笑）
さて、今日はこの曲。ラテンフレイバーが珍しかったですね。

この曲はBillboard誌で1984年10月に1週間だけ、最高7位を記録しました。彼女の1stアルバム「In The Glamorous Life」からの1stシングルっすね。
Princeファミリーっす
。聴くからにPrinceフレーバーたっぷり。バックで超小さな声でPrinceのコーラスが入ってて、高名に弱い高一男子、「おぉっ！スゲーっ！
」と興奮したのを覚えとります。もともとはVanity 6のVanityに書いた曲なんだけど、Princeと別れたかなんかでこの曲をSheilaが歌ったって聞いた覚えがありますー
PV見てもPrince風味たっぷり。あの体のスイングのさせ方はファミリーに入るための条件なんでしょうか？
一目でPrince一派ってわかるのがおもろいっす。
でも彼女、スティックでパーカッションを叩きながら、高いヒールを履いた細身の足でシンバルを蹴り上げるのがすごくカッコいいのです
彼女は超有名なパーカッショニストの娘であり、彼女自身もパーカッショニスト。私の大好きな高中正義とも演ってるんすよね（このVideoの後ろで叩いてるのが彼女）。これまた萌えました
（笑） 高中のSAUDADEのジャケに写ってる女性はSheilaだったはず。
パーカッションのテクに酔いながら、まぁ、聴いてみてくださいな。

Water Festival finished. These 4 days were so fun. I joined 1st day and 2nd day with swimming goggles then getting tons of water ;-)
Well, today’s song is this. You can feel Latin flavor.
“ Sheila E. / The Glamorous Life “
This song got 1 week No.7 on Billboard Magazine in October of 1984. It was cut as 1st single from her 1st album “In The Glamorous Life”.
Price family. It was easy to feel Prince flavor. So little voice of Prince was appeared at the back of this song. This song was originally for Vanity of Vanity 6 however she left from Prince, then this song was provided to Sheila.
This video also had Prince taste. Was that swinging dance the condition to join Prince family??? Price family artists always danced with that swinging. However she slapped the percussion with sticks and kicked cymbal with high heel. So cool playing style.
By the way, Her father is Pete Escovedo who is famous percussionist.
